Cold Soba Noodles – Recipe for Lazy Cooks :D

Are you busy? When you come home from work, is cooking up food and eating the last thing on your mind?

I have to admit. I am someone who is always caught up in the to-do’s that don’t really involve food prep and food eating time. I am always down for new, yummy, quick bites for lunch and dinner times to help me swiftly get back into my studies.

So here is one of my go-to simple lunch recipes.

COLD DIP SOBA NOODLES

  • These noodles are delicious and just perfect for when you are craving something refreshing.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 serving portion of soba noodles
  • cold soba dipping sauce

WHERE TO GET THE INGREDIENTS

  • You will be able to find both of these ingredients in an Asian supermarket.
  • Here is an example of how it may look like:

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Boil water in a pot.
  2. Cook the desired portions of soba noodles in boiling water.
  3. Remove cooked soba noodles from hot water into a colander.
  4. Rinse the soba noodles in colander with some rice to cool the temperature of the noodles down.
  5. Pour soba soup base/sauce into a small bowl (size of rice bowl).
  6. Put some ice in the bowl of soup base/sauce to make it cold.
  7. Enjoy the noodles by dipping small portions into the soup/sauce bowl each time before consuming the noodles.
  8. Repeat if necessary because you want some more~ 😀
