I am one of those people, who pay careful attention to their skin. After years of neglecting my mom’s advices, I finally grew up to accept and listen to them. For the past 4 years, I’ve been favoring body butters from The Body Shop to moisturize my skin after a good shower.
Whenever you decide to take time to clean yourself, whether it may be in the morning, mid-day, or at night, all we pretty much want is to feel great afterwards. Why not reward yourself by treating your skin to a nice, moisturizing treatment.
So far, I’ve gone through multiple number of body butters from The Body Shop.
Each one I’ve used so far had a nice, relaxing scent with slight sweetness of natural feature scent. The texture of the product has good chucky, yet creamy feel. It glides across the skin smoothly, without feeling sticky afterwards.
Freshly picked blueberries in wooden bowl. Juicy and fresh blueberries with green leaves on rustic table. Bilberry on wooden Background. Blueberry antioxidant. Concept for healthy eating and nutrition
I first started off with their Special Edition Blueberry Body Butter purely because my favorite color was blue and the blue packaging just happened to catch my eyes. It works just as well as the others.
Then I hopped from strawberry to peach to mango to finally almond. Their most popular I must say is the mango series. While I was using my mango body butter, I also tried out their mango spray as well. The sweet, yet comforting scent of the mango was soothing and relaxing.
I believe one of the reasons why people love The Body Shop’s products is because their scents aren’t overpowering, but it’s not so weak either. They did a great job of finding that “just right” balance point, which is one of their strong factors of winning favors of numerous of consumers.
When it comes to lotions and body butters, one thing I look for is the after-feel. How does it feel after you apply the product? Does it feel sticky? Does it absorb too quickly? If so, does it still leave moisturizing feel or just dry up? Many things are considered.
So far, these body butters glides across the skin, leaving thick/thin layer of moisture. It doesn’t leave that weird-sticky feeling and it dries while still leaving behind moisturizing effect. It’s very long lasting, but it’s not a bothersome feeling. In fact, it feels more pleasant.
Imagine applying something moisturize your skin, but it dries up so quickly that it feels like you didn’t apply anything to begin with. This doesn’t do that. It definitely has a lasting impression of moisturizing your skin without annoyance of bothersome after-effects.
It’s a shame these don’t seem to come in bottled-pump packaging. So far, I’ve only seen in a tub form. It’d be nice to have the convenience of having the pump for easy use; however, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just continue without any add-ons. It is their signature packaging and people still love it regardless.
Overall, I’m impressed with these body butters and definitely would recommend it anyone looking for something try out. It may not be for everyone, but I’m not the only one who has positive things to gush about these lovely products.
